Meeting organizers can view and download a meeting attendance report. Find this report in the Participants pane of the meeting, by clicking the download arrow as shown below. You can download the report as a .CSV file (text format).

For education tenants, this report is useful to track student attendance in online classes. For example, the teacher can download the attendance report at the start of class as a simple way to do a "roll call." To learn more, read Download attendance reports in Teams.

As an admin, you control whether meeting organizers can download meeting attendance reports by setting a Teams meeting policy. By default, the ability to download the report is turned on. For steps on how to turn off this feature, see Meeting policy settings - Allow engagement report.

There is a throttling limit on how many emails you can send to a channel. The limit is six emails per ten seconds per channel per user and eight emails per ten seconds per tenant per user.1 If the message exceeds this limit, a preview message is generated and the user is asked to download and view the original email from the link provided.

You can download the bot's Teams app manifest to make detail changes to the manifest directly and share with your admin or users in the tenant. You can also directly upload the app manifest into Microsoft Teams if your organization's policy allows you to upload custom applications.

The following image shows how to download the Teams video: in the meeting conversation > open the recording in Microsoft Stream > in the Stream page, click download the video. Then, you could save it in your drive.

When you record a meeting in Microsoft Teams, you can play that recording later to clarify something or get details on an item you missed. But along with listening to a recording, you can download it. This is handy for holding onto it for future reference.

Maybe you have the channel or chat open in the app and see the recording in the conversation history. If you click it, the recording will open in your browser. At the top of the screen, click Download. Then go to your downloads folder to obtain the file.

Enter the name, email address, or group and optionally a message. Before you hit Send, you can adjust the link access. Choose who can access the link, if you want to let them edit, and whether you want to block them from downloading the recording.

It can be easy to miss things in a meeting, especially if there are many attendees. But with options to download and save a Teams recording, you can play it to see what you missed. And if you want to be sure absent members are up to date, share it!

In message center MC230505 (updated February 18), Microsoft makes the important clarification that the only person allowed to download a recording for a personal chat or meeting is the owner. Everyone else is assigned view-only permission to the file.

A change due to roll out in early April and finish in June will block users with view-only permission from downloading the file. Only those with edit access to recordings can change the permissions to allow others to download the files. The change is described in Microsoft 365 roadmap 70543. Organizations cannot override the assignment of permissions to meeting recordings or the way the permissions work.

The devil is always in the detail. In this case, Microsoft recommends that organizations do not use channel meetings to discuss confidential or sensitive information. The reason why is simple: if you do, any team member can access files shared in the meeting or download the meeting recording, which is probably not what you want to happen with sensitive material.

And if you change your mind and want to add them back to the team again, simply send another invite to their email address. Once they accept the invite they'll be back in the team and will once again be able to see the files they originally downloaded with your team in their download history.

By default, your download history will show everyone's downloads under the "Download" tab in your account. Each download will show the user who downloaded it. If you want to dig deeper into what everyone is downloading, you can filter your downloads by user to see exactly what each user has downloaded.
